At present, the popular color gems in the market are ruby, sapphire, tanzanite, topaz, tourmaline, prehnite, aquamarine, etc.

In recent years, the market for colored gemstones has been continuously heating up and prices have been rising. Some industry insiders believe that in addition to being a scarce resource, it is also related to the continuous transformation of current consumption concepts. According to the "Investment Analysis and Prospect Forecast Report of China's Jewelry Industry from 2015 to 2018" released by the industry, in recent years, the sales of colored gemstones have been increasing at an annual growth rate of over 10%. For this reason, in the next few years, China will become the world's largest lottery market. Caibao, on the other hand, will become a growth stock in the domestic jewelry market due to its significant value preservation. At the same time, with the increasing acceptance of Caibao in China and the rapid increase of purchasing groups, China's Caibao era will soon come. The so-called colored gemstone, also known as colored gemstone, is a general term for all colored gemstones in the gemstone family, which includes dozens or even hundreds of gemstones. Therefore, the industry often categorizes colored gemstones into three categories: the highest end generally refers to red sapphire, emerald, and golden green opal; The middle range includes Tanzanite, tourmaline, spinel, etc., which are relatively common in the current domestic market; The low-end mainly refers to varieties such as turquoise, amethyst, olivine, yellow crystal, and lapis lazuli.

Compared with the most well-known gold, jade, and diamonds in China's jewelry market, colored gemstones are a type of jewelry that has become popular in recent years. Domestic consumers are also becoming interested in colored gemstone varieties other than ruby, sapphire, and emerald.

According to the survey results of its members by China Colored Gemstone Network, the awareness of domestic consumers on the variety of colored gemstones is deepening. In addition to the 80% popularity of the traditional ruby, sapphire and emerald, the popularity of amethyst, topaz, tourmaline and other gemstones has increased to 90%. In addition, the popularity of some small varieties of gemstones with less output, such as Shafulai stone and demantoid, has also increased to nearly 40% among collectors.

Influenced by the booming market, the price of colored gemstones in the domestic market has also risen significantly in the past five years, becoming one of the most concerned and fastest value-added jewelry consumer goods. According to statistical data, from 2010 to 2013, the market price of colored gemstones generally increased by about 20% annually. From a trend perspective, the appreciation potential of rarer high-end colored gemstones is greater and will inevitably continue to rise in the future. In addition, since the beginning of this year, the overall price of domestic colored gemstone products has increased by more than 30%, with tourmaline, ruby and other products experiencing the highest increase, reaching over 100%.
